The latest on the NFL’s preseason action article A few weeks ago, the NFL announced that the season-opener between the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings will be held in the Capitol Dome.
Now, we have an idea of when we might see a snakeskin game in the dome.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, the league is considering bringing back the snakekin game for the 2017 season.
According to Demovsky and a source familiar with the proposal, a decision on when and where it would take place is being made.
This season, Washington and Minnesota will host a game in which players are dressed in snake skins.
The two teams will meet in a preseason game on Aug. 27, the first time a team has played in the Dome since 1997.
In 2016, the New York Giants won the season opener in the Big Apple with a 30-28 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
In 2017, Washington won the opener against the Minnesota Packers 24-17.
In both instances, the Redskins and Vikings played on the same field.
