A man who threw fireworks at his home to try to kill his family was jailed for more than four years, according to local media.
The man, who can be identified only as Michael, told police he threw the firecracker fireballs because he wanted to hurt his family, police said in a statement.
Michael said his family had been living in a different house for five years and had moved out.
Michael told police that the family had moved into a new house, where he lived alone.
He said he had tried to kill them with firecrackers, but the family did not want to leave him, police wrote in the statement.
The fire was extinguished within about 10 minutes, but Michael continued to throw the fireworks and his family returned home, police added.
Michael was arrested for one count of first-degree arson and one count each of aggravated battery with a firearm and possession of a weapon dangerous to the peace.
